I have made your forehead as hard as rock. So don’t be afraid of
them, or fear their sullen, angry looks, even though they are such rebels.” Then he added: “Son of dust, Let
All My Words Sink Deep Into Your Own Heart First; Listen To Them Carefully For
Yourself.
To: ALL WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR
From: GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, The Helper, that He may be
with you forever. [John 14:16]
Subject: MY WORD; John 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the
Word was God. John
1:14 (NKJV) 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth.
Luke 10:17–29 (NJB) 17 The seventy-two came back rejoicing. ‘Lord,’ they said, ‘even the
devils submit to us when we use your name.’ 18 He said to them, ‘I watched Satan fall like
lightning from heaven. 19 Look, I have given you power to tread down
serpents and scorpions and the whole strength of the enemy; nothing shall ever
hurt you. 20 Yet do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you; rejoice instead
that your names are written in heaven.’ 21 Just at this time, filled with joy by the Holy
Spirit, he said, ‘I bless you, Father, Lord of heaven and of earth, for hiding
these things from the learned and the clever and revealing them to little
children. Yes, Father, for that is what it has pleased you to do. 22 Everything has been entrusted to me by my Father; and no one knows
who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son and
those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.’ 23 Then turning to his disciples he spoke to them by themselves, ‘Blessed are the eyes that see what you
see, 24 for I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you
see, and never saw it; to hear what you hear, and never heard it.’ 25 And now a lawyer stood up and, to test him, asked, ‘Master, what
must I do to inherit eternal life?’ 26 He said to him, ‘What is written in the Law?
What is your reading of it?’ 27 He replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all
your mind, and your neighbour as yourself.’ 28 Jesus said to him, ‘You have answered right,
do this and life is yours.’ 29 But the man was anxious to justify himself and
said to Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbour?’
Luke 10:30–37 (The Living Bible) 30 Jesus replied with an illustration: “A Jew going on a trip from
Jerusalem to Jericho was attacked by bandits. They stripped him of his clothes
and money, and beat him up and left him lying half dead beside the road. 31 “By chance a Jewish priest came along; and when he saw the man
lying there, he crossed to the other side of the road and passed him by. 32 A Jewish Temple-assistant walked over and looked at him lying
there, but then went on. 33 “But a despised Samaritan
came along, and when he saw him, he felt deep pity. 34 Kneeling beside him the Samaritan soothed his wounds with medicine
and bandaged them. Then he put the man on his donkey and walked along beside
him till they came to an inn, where he nursed him through the night. 35 The next day he handed the innkeeper two twenty-dollar bills and
told him to take care of the man. ‘If his bill runs higher than that,’ he said,
‘I’ll pay the difference the next time I am here.’ 36 “Now which of these three
would you say was a neighbor to the bandits’ victim?” 37 The man replied, “The one who showed him some pity.” Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go and do the same.”
Ezekiel 3:4–10 (The Living Bible) 4 Then he said: “Son of dust, I am sending you to the people of
Israel with my messages. 5 I am not sending you to some far-off foreign
land where you can’t understand the language—6 no, not to tribes with strange, difficult tongues. (If I did, they
would listen!) 7 I am sending you to the people of Israel, and
they won’t listen to you any more than they listen to me! For the whole lot of
them are hard, impudent, and stubborn. 8 But see, I have made you hard and stubborn
too—as tough as they are. 9 I have made your forehead as hard as rock. So
don’t be afraid of them, or fear their sullen, angry looks, even though they
are such rebels.” 10 Then he added: “Son of dust, let all my words sink deep into your own
heart first; listen to them carefully for yourself.
Malachi 3:1–6 (Tanakh) 1 Behold, I am sending My messenger to clear the way before Me, and
the Lord whom you seek shall come to His Temple suddenly. As for the angel of
the covenant that you desire, he is already coming. 2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can hold out when
he appears? For he is like a smelter’s
fire and like fuller’s lye. 3 He shall act like a smelter and purger of silver; and he shall
purify the descendants of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, so that
they shall present offerings in righteousness. 4 Then the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem
shall be pleasing to the Lord as
in the days of yore and in the years of old. 5 But [first] I will step forward to contend against you, and I will
act as a relentless accuser against those who have no fear of Me: Who practice
sorcery, who commit adultery, who swear falsely, who cheat laborers of their
hire, and who subvert [the cause of] the widow, orphan, and stranger, said the Lord of Hosts. 6 For I am the Lord—I
have not changed; and you are the children of Jacob—you have not ceased to be.
Today is January 3,

2 Peter 1:16–21
(Williams) 16 For it was not mere stories of fancy
that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He
received such honor and glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory
there was borne to Him a voice like this, “This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom
I take delight.” 18 we heard this voice ourselves borne from heaven
while we were with Him on that sacred mountain. 19 So we have the
message of the prophets more certainly guaranteed. Please pay attention to this message as to a
lamp that is shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning
star rises in your hearts; 20 because you recognize this truth above
all else, that no prophecy in Scripture
is to be interpreted by one’s own mind, 21 for no prophecy has
ever yet originated in man’s will, but men who were led by the Holy Spirit
spoke from God.]
Philippians 2:9–11 (The Living
Bible) 9 Yet it was because of this that God raised him up to the heights
of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee shall
bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue
shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
