“For
although we do live in the world, we do not wage war in a worldly way;
because the weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they
have God’s power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments
and every arrogance that raises itself up against the knowledge of God; we Take Every Thought Captive And Make It
Obey The Messiah.”
To: ALL WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR
From: GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, The Helper, that He may be
with you forever. [John 14:16]
Subject: MY WORD; John 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 (NKJV) 14 And the Word became
flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only
begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
Every Thought Captive
2 Corinthians 10:3–6 (CJB) 3 For although we do live in
the world, we do not wage war in a worldly way; 4 because the
weapons we use to wage war are not worldly. On the contrary, they have God’s
power for demolishing strongholds. We demolish arguments 5 and every
arrogance that raises itself up against the knowledge of God; we take every thought captive and make it
obey the Messiah. 6 And when you have become completely
obedient, then we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience.
2 Corinthians 10:3–6 (ESV) 3 For though we
walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. 4
For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to
destroy strongholds. 5 We
destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God,
and take every thought captive to obey Christ, 6 being ready to
punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.
2 Corinthians 10:3–6 (NASB95) 3 For though we walk in the
flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, 4 for the weapons of
our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of
fortresses. 5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty
thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,
6 and we are ready to punish all disobedience, whenever your
obedience is complete.
Matthew 15:18–19 (AMP) 18 But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles [him]. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts (reasonings and disputings and designs) such as murder, adultery, sexual vice, theft, false witnessing, slander, and irreverent speech.
Galatians 2:20 (AMP) 20 I have been
crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the
Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith
in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who
loved me and gave Himself up for me.
Galatians 2:20 (CJB) 20 When the Messiah was executed on the stake as a criminal, I was
too; so that my proud ego no longer lives. But
the Messiah lives in me, and the life I now live in my body I live by the
same trusting faithfulness that the Son of God had, who loved me and gave
himself up for me.
Hebrews 12:1–2 (The Living
Bible) 1 Since we have such a huge crowd of men of faith watching us from
the grandstands, let us strip off anything that slows us down or holds us back,
and especially those sins that wrap themselves so tightly around our feet and
trip us up; and let us run with patience the particular race that God has set
before us. 2 Keep your eyes on Jesus, our leader and instructor. He
was willing to die a shameful death on the cross because of the joy he knew
would be his afterwards; and now he sits in the place of honor by the throne of
God.
[Please Note: Always Read the
Word of God in Context, reading the entire chapter or book, asking the Holy
Spirit of the Living God to give you the interpretation. 2 Peter 1:16–21 (Williams) 16 For it was not mere stories of fancy
that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He
received such honor and glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory
there was borne to Him a voice like this, “This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom
I take delight.” 18 we heard this voice ourselves borne from heaven
while we were with Him on that sacred mountain. 19 So we have the
message of the prophets more certainly guaranteed. Please pay attention to this message as to a
lamp that is shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning
star rises in your hearts; 20 because you recognize this truth above
all else, that no prophecy in Scripture
is to be interpreted by one’s own mind, 21 for no prophecy has
ever yet originated in man’s will, but men who were led by the Holy Spirit
spoke from God.]
Philippians
2:9–11 (The Living Bible)9 Yet it was because of this that God raised him up to the heights
of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee shall
bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue
shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
