“Every young man who listens to me and obeys my instructions will
be given wisdom and good sense. Yes, if
you want better insight and discernment, and are searching for them as you
would for lost money or hidden treasure, then wisdom will be given you and
knowledge of God himself; you will soon learn the importance of reverence for
the Lord and of trusting him. 6 For the Lord grants wisdom! His
every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding. 7 He grants
good sense to the godly—his saints. He is their shield, protecting them and
guarding their pathway. 9 He Shows
How To Distinguish Right From Wrong, How To Find The Right Decision Every Time.”
To: ALL WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR
From: GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, The Helper, that He may be
with you forever. [John 14:16]
Subject: MY WORD; John 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 (NKJV) 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth.
Proverbs 2:1–9 (The Living Bible) 1 Every young man who listens to me and obeys
my instructions will be given wisdom and good sense. 3 Yes, if you
want better insight and discernment, and are searching for them as you would
for lost money or hidden treasure, then wisdom will be given you and knowledge
of God himself; you will soon learn the importance of reverence for the Lord
and of trusting him. 6 For the Lord grants wisdom! His every word is a treasure of knowledge
and understanding. 7 He grants good sense to the godly—his
saints. He is their shield, protecting them and guarding their pathway. 9
He shows how to distinguish right from wrong, how to find the right decision
every time.
Proverbs 2:3–6 (Tanakh) 3 If you call to understanding And cry aloud to discernment, 4
If you seek it as you do silver And search for it as for treasures, 5
Then you will understand the fear of the Lord
And attain knowledge of God. 6 For the Lord grants wisdom; Knowledge and discernment are by His
decree.
Proverbs 2:3–6 (AMP) 3 Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,
4 If you seek [Wisdom] as for silver and search for skillful and
godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures, 5 Then you will understand the
reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of [our
omniscient] God. 6 For the Lord gives skillful and godly
Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 2:3–6 (CJB) 3 yes, if you will call for insight and raise your voice for discernment,
4 if you seek it as you would silver and search for it as for hidden
treasure— 5 then you will understand the fear of Adonai and find knowledge of God. 6
For Adonai gives wisdom;
from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
Proverbs 15:21 (CJB) 21 Folly appeals to
one who lacks sense, but a person of
discernment goes straight ahead.
Proverbs 19:25 (NKJV) 25 Strike a scoffer, and the simple will become wary; Rebuke one who has understanding, and
he will discern knowledge.
Matthew 16:1–4 (NASB95) 1 The Pharisees and
Sadducees came up, and testing Jesus, they asked Him to show them a sign from heaven.
2 But He replied to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will
be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ 3 “And in the morning, ‘There
will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance
of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times? 4
“An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign; and a sign will not be
given it, except the sign of Jonah.” And He left them and went away.
1 Corinthians 2:13–16 (YLT) 13 which things also
we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy
Spirit, with spiritual things spiritual things comparing, 14 and the
natural man doth not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for to him they
are foolishness, and he is not able to
know them, because spiritually they are discerned; 15 and he
who is spiritual, doth discern indeed all things, and he himself is by no one
discerned; 16 for who did know the mind of the Lord that he
shall instruct Him? and we—we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:13–16 (The Living Bible)
13 In telling you about these gifts
we have even used the very words given to us by the Holy Spirit, not words that
we as men might choose. So we use the Holy Spirit’s words to explain the Holy
Spirit’s facts. 14 But the man who isn’t a Christian can’t
understand and can’t accept these thoughts from God, which the Holy Spirit
teaches us. They sound foolish to him because
only those who have the Holy Spirit within them can understand what the Holy
Spirit means. Others just can’t take it in. 15 But the spiritual man
has insight into everything, and that bothers and baffles the man of the world,
who can’t understand him at all. 16 How could he? For certainly
he has never been one to know the Lord’s thoughts, or to discuss them with him,
or to move the hands of God by prayer. But, strange as it seems, we Christians
actually do have within us a portion of the very thoughts and mind of Christ.
Philippians 1:9–11 (AMP) 9 And this I pray:
that your love may abound yet more and more and extend to its fullest
development in knowledge and all keen insight [that your love may display itself in greater depth of acquaintance and
more comprehensive discernment], 10 So that you may surely learn
to sense what is vital, and approve and prize what is excellent and
of real value [recognizing the highest and the best, and distinguishing the
moral differences], and that you may be untainted and pure and unerring and
blameless [so that with hearts sincere and certain and unsullied, you may approach]
the day of Christ [not stumbling nor causing others to stumble]. 11
May you abound in and be filled with the fruits of righteousness (of
right standing with God and right doing) which come through Jesus Christ (the
Anointed One), to the honor and praise of God [that His glory may be both
manifested and recognized].
Hebrews 4:12–13 (YLT) 12 for the reckoning
of God is living, and working, and sharp above every two-edged sword, and
piercing unto the dividing asunder both of soul and spirit, of joints also and
marrow, and a discerner of thoughts and
intents of the heart; 13 and there is not a created thing not
manifest before Him, but all things are naked and open to His eyes—with
whom is our reckoning.
Hebrews 5:12–14 (ESV) 12 For though by this
time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic
principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, 13
for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since
he is a child. 14 But solid
food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained
by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.
[Please Note: Always Read the
Word of God in Context, reading the entire chapter or book, asking the Holy
Spirit of the Living God to give you the interpretation. 2 Peter 1:16–21 (Williams) 16 For it was not mere stories of fancy
that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He
received such honor and glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory
there was borne to Him a voice like this, “This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom
I take delight.” 18 we heard this voice ourselves borne from heaven
while we were with Him on that sacred mountain. 19 So we have the
message of the prophets more certainly guaranteed. Please pay attention to this message as to a
lamp that is shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning
star rises in your hearts; 20 because you recognize this truth above
all else, that no prophecy in Scripture
is to be interpreted by one’s own mind, 21 for no prophecy has
ever yet originated in man’s will, but men who were led by the Holy Spirit
spoke from God.]
Philippians 2:9–11 (The Living
Bible)9 Yet it was because of this that God raised
him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other
name, 10 that at the name of
Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11
and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.
