This is the Moshe who said to the people of Isra’el, 'God Will Raise Up A Prophet Like Me From Among Your Brothers'. This is the man who was in the assembly in the wilderness, accompanied
by the angel that had spoken to him at Mount Sinai and by our fathers, the man
who was given living words to pass on to us. ”
To: ALL
WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR
From: GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, The Helper, that He may be
with you forever. [John 14:16]
Subject: MY WORD; John 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 (NKJV) 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth.
Acts 6:13–15 (The Living Bible) 13 The
lying witnesses testified again that Stephen was constantly speaking against
the Temple and against the laws of Moses. 14 They declared, “We have
heard him say that this fellow Jesus of Nazareth will destroy the Temple and
throw out all of Moses’ laws.” 15 At this point everyone in the Council chamber saw Stephen’s face become
as radiant as an angel’s!
Acts 7:1–7 (ESV) 1 And the high priest
said, “Are these things so?” 2 And Stephen said: “Brothers and
fathers, hear me. The God of glory
appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in
Haran, 3 and said to him, ‘Go out from your land and from your
kindred and go into the land that I will show you.’ 4 Then he
went out from the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran. And after his
father died, God removed him from there into this land in which you are now
living. 5 Yet he gave him no inheritance in it, not even a foot’s
length, but promised to give it to him as a possession and to his offspring
after him, though he had no child. 6 And God spoke to this
effect—that his offspring would be sojourners in a land belonging to others,
who would enslave them and afflict them four hundred years. 7 ‘But I
will judge the nation that they serve,’ said God, ‘and after that they shall
come out and worship me in this place.’
Acts 7:17–22 (NKJV) 17 “But when the time of the promise drew near which God had sworn to
Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt 18 till another
king arose who did not know Joseph. 19 This man dealt treacherously
with our people, and oppressed our forefathers, making them expose their
babies, so that they might not live. 20
At this time Moses was born, and was well pleasing to God; and he was
brought up in his father’s house for three months. 21 But when he
was set out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him away and brought him up as her own
son. 22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians,
and was mighty in words and deeds.
Acts 7:23–36 (CJB) 23 “But when he was
forty years old, the thought came to him to visit his brothers, the people of
Isra’el. 24 On seeing one of them being mistreated, he went to his
defense and took revenge by striking down the Egyptian. 25 He
supposed his brothers would understand that God was using him to rescue them,
but they didn’t understand. 26 When he appeared the next day, as
they were fighting, and tried to make peace between them by saying, ‘Men, you
are brothers! Why do you want to hurt each other?’ 27 the one who
was mistreating his fellow pushed Moshe away and said, ‘Who made you a ruler
and judge over us? 28 Do you want to kill me, the way you
killed that Egyptian yesterday?’29 On hearing this, Moshe fled
the country and became an exile in the land of Midyan, where he had two sons. 30
“After forty more years, an angel appeared to him in the desert near
Mount Sinai in the flames of a burning thorn bush. 31 When
Moshe saw this, he was amazed at the sight; and as he approached to get a
better look, there came the voice of Adonai,
32 ‘I am the God of your fathers, the God of Avraham, Yitz’chak
and Ya‘akov.’ But Moshe trembled with fear and didn’t dare to look. 33
Adonai said to him, ‘Take
off your sandals, because the place where you are standing is holy ground. 34
I have clearly seen how My people are being oppressed in Egypt, I have heard
their cry, and I have come down to rescue them, and now I will send you to
Egypt.’ 35 “This Moshe, whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made
you a ruler and judge?’ is the very one whom God sent as both ruler and
ransomer by means of the angel that appeared to him in the thorn bush. 36
This man led them out, performing miracles and signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea
and in the wilderness for forty years.
Acts 7:37–38 (RSV) 37 This is the Moses
who said to the Israelites, ‘God will
raise up for you a prophet from your brethren as he raised me up.’ 38
This is he who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who
spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living
oracles to give to us.
Acts 7:37–38 (AMP) 37 It was this [very] Moses who
said to the children of Israel, God will raise up for you a Prophet from among
your brethren as He raised me up. 38 This is he who in the assembly in the wilderness (desert) was the
go-between for the Angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai and our forefathers,
and he received living oracles (words that still live) to be handed down to us.
John 5:39–47 (CJB) 39 You keep examining
the Tanakh because you think that in it you have eternal life. Those
very Scriptures bear witness to me, 40 but you won’t come to me in
order to have life! 41 “I don’t collect praise from men, 42
but I do know you people—I know that you have no love for God in you! 43
I have come in my Father’s name, and you don’t accept me; if someone else comes
in his own name, him you will accept. 44 How can you trust? You’re
busy collecting praise from each other, instead of seeking praise from God
only. 45 “But don’t think that it is I who will be your accuser
before the Father. Do you know who will accuse you? Moshe, the very one you
have counted on! 46 For if
you really believed Moshe, you would believe me; because it was about me that
he wrote. 47 But if you don’t believe what he wrote, how are you
going to believe what I say?”
Acts 7:37–38 (CJB) 37 This is the Moshe
who said to the people of Isra’el, ‘God will raise up a prophet like me from
among your brothers’38 This
is the man who was in the assembly in the wilderness, accompanied by the angel
that had spoken to him at Mount Sinai and by our fathers, the man who was given
living words to pass on to us.
[Please Note: Always Read the
Word of God in Context, reading the entire chapter or book, asking the Holy
Spirit of the Living God to give you the interpretation. 2 Peter 1:16–21 (Williams) 16 For it was not mere stories of fancy
that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He
received such honor and glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory
there was borne to Him a voice like this, “This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom
I take delight.” 18 we heard this voice ourselves borne from heaven
while we were with Him on that sacred mountain. 19 So we have the
message of the prophets more certainly guaranteed. Please pay attention to this message as to a
lamp that is shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning
star rises in your hearts; 20 because you recognize this truth above
all else, that no prophecy in Scripture
is to be interpreted by one’s own mind, 21 for no prophecy has
ever yet originated in man’s will, but men who were led by the Holy Spirit
spoke from God.]
Philippians 2:9–11 (The Living
Bible) 9 Yet it was because of this that God raised
him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other
name, 10 that at the name of
Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11
and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.
