“These were his instructions to them: “Plead with
the Lord of the harvest to send out more laborers to help you, For The
Harvest Is So Plentiful And The Workers So Few. Go now, and remember that I am sending you out
as lambs among wolves.”
To: ALL WHO HAVE EARS TO HEAR
From: GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, The Helper, that He may be
with you forever. [John 14:16]
Subject: MY WORD; John 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John
1:14 (NKJV) 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth.
Luke 10:1–7 (The Living Bible) 1 The Lord now chose seventy
other disciples and sent them on ahead in pairs to all the towns and villages
he planned to visit later. 2 These were his instructions to them: “Plead
with the Lord of the harvest to send out more laborers to help you, for the
harvest is so plentiful and the workers so few. 3 Go now, and
remember that I am sending you out as lambs among wolves. 4
Don’t take any money with you, or a beggar’s bag, or even an extra pair of
shoes. And don’t waste time along the way. 5 “Whenever you enter a
home, give it your blessing. 6 If it is worthy of the blessing, the
blessing will stand; if not, the blessing will return to you. 7
“When you enter a village, don’t shift around from home to home, but stay in
one place, eating and drinking without question whatever is set before you. And
don’t hesitate to accept hospitality, for the workman is worthy of his wages!
John
4:35–38 (NKJV) 35
Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the
harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for
they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives
wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who
reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One
sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you
have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
Matthew
9:35–38 (NKJV) 35
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their
synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and
every disease among the people. 36 But when He saw the multitudes,
He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered,
like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples,
“The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38
Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Matthew
10:7–14 (The Living Bible) 7
Go and announce to them that the Kingdom of Heaven is near. 8 Heal
the sick, raise the dead, cure the lepers, and cast out demons. Give as freely
as you have received! 9 “Don’t take any money with you; 10
don’t even carry a duffle bag with extra clothes and shoes, or even a walking
stick; for those you help should feed and care for you. 11 Whenever
you enter a city or village, search for a godly man and stay in his home until
you leave for the next town. 12 When you ask permission to stay, be
friendly, 13 and if it turns out to be a godly home, give it your
blessing; if not, keep the blessing. 14 Any city or home that
doesn’t welcome you—shake off the dust of that place from your feet as you
leave.
Luke 10:8–15 (NASB95) 8 “Whatever city you enter
and they receive you, eat what is set before you; 9 and heal those
in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
10 “But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out
into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your city which
clings to our feet we wipe off in protest against you; yet be sure of
this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’
Luke
10:16–24 (RSV) 16
“He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who
rejects me rejects him who sent me.”17 The seventy returned with
joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!”18
And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.19
Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and
over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.20
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but
rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”21 In that same hour
he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank thee, Father, Lord of heaven
and earth, that thou hast hidden these things from the wise and understanding
and revealed them to babes; yea, Father, for such was thy gracious will.22
All things have been delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son
is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and any one to whom
the Son chooses to reveal him.”23 Then turning to the disciples he
said privately, “Blessed are the eyes which see what you see!24
For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and
did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Peter 1:16–21 (Williams) 16
For it was not mere stories of fancy that we followed when we told
you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been
eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received such honor and
glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory there was borne to Him
a voice like this, “This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom I take delight.” 18
we heard this voice ourselves borne from heaven while we were with Him on that
sacred mountain. 19 So we have the message of the prophets more
certainly guaranteed. Please pay
attention to this message as to a lamp that is shining in a dismal place, until
the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; 20 because
you recognize this truth above all else, that
no prophecy in Scripture is to be interpreted by one’s own mind, 21
for no prophecy has ever yet originated in man’s will, but men who were led by
the Holy Spirit spoke from God.]
Philippians 2:9–11 (The Living
Bible) 9 Yet it was because of this that God raised
him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other
name, 10 that at the name of
Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11
and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.
