From; GOD THE FATHER, THE
LORD JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD,
The Helper, that He may be with you forever. [John 14:16 ]
Subject: MY WORD
16 For [like a pack of] dogs they have
encompassed me, a company of evildoers has encircled me, they pierced my hands and my feet.
22 And they brought Jesus to a place called Golgotha . (Golgotha
means skull.) 23 Wine drugged with bitter herbs was offered to him
there, but he refused it. 24 And then they crucified him—and threw dice for his clothes.
34 “Father, forgive these people,” Jesus
said, “for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for
his clothing, throwing dice for each piece.
24 But Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the
Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples
kept telling him, We have seen the Lord! But he said to them, Unless I see in
His hands the marks made by the nails and put my finger into the nail prints,
and put my hand into His side, I will never believe [it]. 26 Eight
days later His disciples were again in the house, and Thomas was with them.
Jesus came, though they were behind closed doors, and stood among them and
said, Peace to you! 27 Then He said to Thomas, Reach out your finger
here, and see My hands; and put out your hand and place [it] in My side. Do not
be faithless and incredulous, but [stop your unbelief and] believe! 28
Thomas answered Him, My Lord and my God! 29 Jesus said to him,
Because you have seen Me, Thomas, do you now believe (trust, have
faith)? Blessed and happy and to be envied are those who have
never seen Me and yet have believed and adhered to and trusted and
relied on Me.
22 “O men of Israel , listen! God publicly
endorsed Jesus of Nazareth by doing tremendous miracles through him, as you
well know. 23 But God, following his prearranged plan, let you use
the Roman government to nail him to the
cross and murder him. 24 Then God released him from the horrors
of death and brought him back to life again, for death could not keep this man
within its grip.
13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses
and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having
forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt
that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. 15
He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by
triumphing over them in him.
