“Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would
become his children. And The Holy Spirit
Has Been At Work In Your Hearts, Cleansing You With The Blood Of Jesus Christ And
Making You To Please Him. May God
bless you richly and grant you increasing freedom from all anxiety and fear. 3
All honor to God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; for it is his
boundless mercy that has given us the privilege of being born again so that we
are now members of God’s own family. Now we live in the hope of eternal life
because Christ rose again from the dead.”
From: GOD THE FATHER, THE LORD
JESUS CHRIST HIS SON and Ministered through the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, The Helper, that He may be
with you forever. [John 14:16]
Subject: MY WORD; John 1:1 (NKJV) 1 In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 (NKJV) 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full
of grace and truth.
1 Peter 1:1–9 (The Living Bible) 1 From: Peter, Jesus Christ’s missionary. To: The Jewish Christians driven out of Jerusalem and scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia Minor, and Bithynia. 2 Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago and knew you would become his children. And the Holy Spirit has been at work in your hearts, cleansing you with the blood of Jesus Christ and making you to please him. May God bless you richly and grant you increasing freedom from all anxiety and fear. 3 All honor to God, the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ; for it is his boundless mercy that has given us the privilege of being born again so that we are now members of God’s own family. Now we live in the hope of eternal life because Christ rose again from the dead. 4 And God has reserved for his children the priceless gift of eternal life; it is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay. 5 And God, in his mighty power, will make sure that you get there safely to receive it because you are trusting him. It will be yours in that coming last day for all to see. 6 So be truly glad! There is wonderful joy ahead, even though the going is rough for a while down here. 7 These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it—and your faith is far more precious to God than mere gold; so if your faith remains strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return. 8 You love him even though you have never seen him; though not seeing him, you trust him; and even now you are happy with the inexpressible joy that comes from heaven itself. 9 And your further reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
1 Peter 4:12–19 (The Living Bible) 12
Dear friends, don’t be bewildered or surprised when you go through the fiery
trials ahead, for this is no strange, unusual thing that is going to happen to
you. 13 Instead, be really glad—because these trials will make you
partners with Christ in his suffering, and afterwards you will have the
wonderful joy of sharing his glory in that coming day when it will be
displayed. 14 Be happy if you are cursed and insulted for being a
Christian, for when that happens the Spirit of God will come upon you with
great glory. 15 Don’t let me hear of your suffering for murdering or
stealing or making trouble or being a busybody and prying into other people’s
affairs. 16 But it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise
God for the privilege of being in Christ’s family and being called by his
wonderful name! 17 For the
time has come for judgment, and it must begin first among God’s own children.
And if even we who are Christians must be judged, what terrible fate awaits
those who have never believed in the Lord? 18 If the righteous are
barely saved, what chance will the godless have? 19 So if you
are suffering according to God’s will, keep on doing what is right and trust
yourself to the God who made you, for he will never fail you.
Zechariah 13:8–9 (NASB95) 8 “It will come about in all the land,” Declares the Lord, “That two parts in it will be cut
off and perish; But the third will be left in it. 9 “And I will bring the third part through the
fire, Refine them as silver is refined, And test them as gold is tested. They
will call on My name, And I will answer them; I will say, ‘They are My people,’
And they will say, ‘The Lord is my
God.’ ”
Malachi 3:1–3 (Tanakh) 1 Behold, I am sending My messenger to clear the way before Me, and
the Lord whom you seek shall come to His Temple suddenly. As for the angel of
the covenant that you desire, he is already coming. 2 But who can
endure the day of his coming, and who can hold out when he appears? For he is like a smelter’s fire and like
fuller’s lye. 3 He shall act like a smelter and purger of silver;
and he shall purify the descendants of Levi and refine them like gold and
silver, so that they shall present offerings in righteousness.
James 1:2–9 (NASB95) 2 Consider it all joy,
my brethren, when you encounter various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith
produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its perfect
result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 5
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously
and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask
in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the
sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to
expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a
double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 9 But the brother of
humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;
Proverbs 3:13–15 (NASB95) 13 How blessed is the man who finds wisdom And the man who gains
understanding. 14 For her
profit is better than the profit of silver And her gain better than fine gold. 15
She is more precious than jewels; And nothing you desire compares with her.
Proverbs 8:14–21 (The Living Bible) 14 “I, Wisdom, give good advice and common sense. Because of my
strength, kings reign in power, and rulers make just laws. 17 I love all who love me. Those who search
for me shall surely find me. 18 Unending riches, honor, justice,
and righteousness are mine to distribute. 19 My gifts are better than the purest gold or sterling silver! 20
My paths are those of justice and right. 21 Those who love and
follow me are indeed wealthy. I fill their treasuries.
John 12:22–26 (The Living Bible) 22 Philip told Andrew about it, and they went together to ask Jesus. 23
Jesus replied that the time had come for him to return to his glory in heaven,
and that “I must fall and die like a kernel of wheat that falls into the
furrows of the earth. Unless I die I will be alone—a single seed. But my death
will produce many new wheat kernels—a plentiful harvest of new lives. 25
If you love your life down here—you will
lose it. If you despise your life down here—you will exchange it for eternal
glory. 26 “If these Greeks want to be my disciples, tell them to come and follow me, for my
servants must be where I am. And if they follow me, the Father will honor them.
[Please Note: Always Read the
Word of God in Context, reading the entire chapter or book, asking the Holy
Spirit of the Living God to give you the interpretation. 2 Peter 1:16–21 (Williams) 16 For it was not mere stories of fancy
that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus
Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He
received such honor and glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory
there was borne to Him a voice like this, “This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom
I take delight.” 18 we heard this voice ourselves borne from heaven
while we were with Him on that sacred mountain. 19 So we have the
message of the prophets more certainly guaranteed. Please pay attention to this message as to a
lamp that is shining in a dismal place, until the day dawns and the morning
star rises in your hearts; 20 because you recognize this truth above
all else, that no prophecy in Scripture
is to be interpreted by one’s own mind, 21 for no prophecy has
ever yet originated in man’s will, but men who were led by the Holy Spirit
spoke from God.]
Philippians 2:9–11 (The Living
Bible)9 Yet it was because of this that God raised
him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name which is above every other
name, 10 that at the name of
Jesus every knee shall bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11
and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God
the Father.
